[Truly, Noctis is not only still asleep, but he's rolled so close to the wall of the tent that he's started to roll onto it, a little. Ignis chose the right time to come wake him, or he'd have rolled the whole tent into one of Gladio's stupid camping chairs.
As it stands, he makes a whole host of irritated, sleepy noises, pushing at Ignis' arm until he finally sits upright. His eyes are still closed.] ...Ngh.
[Eichi sure does talk a lot. Thankfully, Ignis is a good multitasker, patting Noctis while he takes all this in.] It's a pleasure to meet you, Eichi. I'm terribly sorry to hear that. He's got terrible bedside manner, aaand... there he is.
[Noctis can shove his arm away all he wants, but Ignis still pats his back one more time as he rises back to his feet.] I'll pull out a blanket for you, shall I? Breakfast will be ready in a few minutes, it'll be sure to warm you up. Isn't that right, Noct?
[He'll get this guy's name sooner or later, but right now he's a little overwhelmed. He fell asleep and still isn't back home? He's still in this weird tent and weird world? Hm.
Well, more importantly, Noct is like a zombie.]
Good morning. ♪ [He curls both of his hands near his mouth now, breathing on them to warm them. Thankfully he's not joining in on any of the prodding or slapping.] So is this why you were so eager to sleep? You were this type of person all along. The type of person who can't seem to wake up, no matter how much rest they've gotten.
Your face just now was a little cute. [He just says these things, don't worry about it.] By the way, why are you sleeping so close to the tent wall?
[Nnnnh, too many voices at once. Noctis nudges at Ignis again, making a cursory effort to rub his eyes and stretch his arms over his head before he looks over at Eichi... but it's just to blink once at him and then pat around on the ground for his phone, since he can't remember putting it in a pocket.
Give him a minute. There are still words being said to him...]
You kept trying to roll over on me. [No, but in the world of Noctis, yes. He is tired.] —Ignis, what's for breakfast?
[Oho, Noctis' face was cute. Ignis heard that, and it's definitely shaping up his view of this entire situation quite nicely. He is just going to leave the tent open for two reasons: a) Noctis can't fall back asleep with the sun in his face, and b) they can't do anything behind closed doors.. tent... flaps. things.]
Pancakes, eggs and sausage. [He hums, walking around the tent to go through their storage. There is a blanket here... somewhere...] Unless your friend would like anything else, but we are in need of another stop soon.
[He was COLD he just wanted body heat ok. But ah, he looks back out the tent and towards Ignis.] If you'd be so kind as to let me intrude, I'd have no place complaining to begin with, but that sounds lovely.
[He's pulling out his phone, since he remembers where it is, and looking through things. Still no signal of any sort...] What is it that you're all doing out here, anyway? Is this an extended camping trip?
[Ignis is judging him, he can feel it, but why... It's not Noctis' fault Eichi is weird. But ah, he's found his phone, so give him a minute to check for any urgent missed calls from, like, Iris or something before he hums and moves to get up and leave this tent.]
You could call it that. More like a road crawl, without the car. [....noct,] Hey, are you okay? Besides being cold.
[This weird child is down with his excellent pancakes, he is definitely getting an extra helping. But like, after he's done. For now, he will unceremoniously lean back into the tent to drop Eichi's blanket on Noctis. Give it to him, be nice, Ignis will be over here dishing up.]
I'm fine. [He says this while looking up from his phone, slipping it away. He's not exactly fine, but fine is the appearance he wants to keep up. He's only panicking a little, it's okay.]
Do you plan on dropping me off at the next town? [Though the answer to this question might decide how much he inwardly panics more]
That's good— [What the hell is this, there is a blanket thrown on him out of nowhere?? Noctis is halfway to standing when this happens, so he has to awkwardly retrieve it from his own back with a vague thanks muttered at Ignis before he turns to offer it to Eichi.]
Here. [...anyway, they can't really just haul this sick boy around everywhere, but. Ugh.] We'll talk about that when we get to the next town, I guess...
[He takes the blanket, wrapping it around his shoulders as he moves to his feet. He still tries to fix his hair a little while he steps out of the tent, turning a curious look towards Noctis.]
"His Highness," was it? [He didn't mention anything like that. Tell him more.] My situation is a little more complicated, I'm afraid. I'm not from around here at all... so even if I would like to tag around and put my heart at risk, there are other things waiting for me to return to, you know?
My attitude is in high demand. [Whatever this means, besides being false. He wants pancakes... And thanks Ignis for just telling everyone he's royalty, there was once an air of subtlety here!! He's just going to wave that off, it's too early.]
Anyway, we can't do anything about you going anywhere, [Eichi, you heart attack on legs,] until we actually get somewhere. No point in trying to figure it out on an empty stomach.
[give him food]
Edited (don't look at my late edit) 2017-04-17 00:52 (UTC)
[Whoops, cover blown. If Noctis isn't going to say it, Ignis won't make it worse. Eichi can go on thinking it's just some nickname for this primadonna boy, he has pancakes to give.]
It's a good thing you won't have an empty stomach for long. Breakfast is served.
[Have this pile of fruit and things except like, with pancakes. It's a bigger plate, shut up. Two bigger plates, probably meant for the mysteriously missing Prompto and Gladio, are held out to them before they can go take up seats in ever so comfortable camping chairs.]
Am I to assume you've picked someone up by accident, this time? Odd place to be on your lonesome.
Fufu, does he have a habit of picking up strays on purpose, then? I suppose I was lucky to find him, after all.
[He's still worried, but Noct has a point, he guesses. So, he'll sit with this blanket still around him and eye this delicious food, oh boy.] Thank you.
For someone like myself, it's odd for me to be alone at all. It was such a rare moment that I took a walk through the garden and ended up here, in a place I know nothing about. It sounds like such a tale that you probably won't believe me, but that's how it is.
That's me, the... stray-catcher. [Fuck. Just. Let him take his plate and immediately make straight for the chairs, to sit down and eat too much to participate in this conversation.
Or not, since he knows Eichi's explanation won't be enough for Ignis, so,] He really did just turn up. So either he's lying, or something's picking people up and dropping them in our path now. Figure giving him breakfast is better than leaving him for something big and angry to pick off.
[Saying all this with Eichi right there, that's fine.]
